Life is full of challenges. Sometimes we can handle those challenges independently, and sometimes we need outside support--someone who can actively listen to us, without judgment, and with an open heart and mind. We need someone with an outside perspective who can offer insight into what makes us tick.
As an Army veteran, a military spouse, and a parent, I understand the challenges that change can bring to individuals, couples, and families. It takes great courage to seek support, and I am honored that you have chosen me as an option to provide that support. Being open, honest, and respectful are the main pillars of my approach. We must maintain trust and acceptance to develop real personal growth.
Theories that I draw upon are evidence-based and proven to make a difference in therapy. I favor techniques that involve mindfulness, self-reflection, and promote self-awareness. I welcome all individuals, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. I have a deep love and appreciation for people and their differences. My goal is always to ensure that you feel safe, heard, and valued. Counseling isn't always easy, but you can become the best version of yourself with support from a counselor.
