Katie Frankum is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who provides therapy to adults. Katie’s therapy approach places importance on the therapeutic relationship while integrating evidence-based models to best meet the needs of her clients. Katie enjoys working with individuals who are looking for a work-life balance, stress management, overcoming anxiety, and working through traumatic stress. Katie enjoys working with children through play therapy-based interventions to support children in overcoming anxiety, build self-esteem and learn their emotions. Additionally, Katie is basic trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Katie is employed with the University of Minnesota's After Deployment Adaptive Parenting Tool (ADAPT), a research study for Active Duty on Fort Bragg, providing military families with tools to support healthy parenting. Katie's passion for counseling is a result of being a military child who understands the challenges, hardships, and importance in overcoming obstacles in the personal and professional settings. When not in the office, Katie enjoys being outdoors with her family, reading, and Jeeps.
